IT Specialist
Job Description
This position will provide Remote phone assistance to internal clients regarding the use of computer hardware and software, including off the shelf and in house developed applications.
Responsibilities:
· Provide exceptional technical assistance with a positive, helpful, and customer-service oriented attitude
· Maintains Service-Now issue tracking and asset management system, monitors status of technology issues and maintains contact with users/vendors as required
· Assist team with testing/integrating new software
· Create/Test imaging (PC and Mac)
· Audit Process Management (Creating and managing tickets) and SLA adherence
· Create and document process and procedures
· Maintain Hardware/Software standards
· Program telephony system and provide business logic support
· Work independently as part of a team, be an enthusiastic learner and show the drive to succeed
· Provides phone and/or e-mail support for computer hardware and approved software
o MS Windows, OSx, MS Office Suite 2103/O365, Lync, Ping Identity, Oracle Fusion, World Pay, Digium, I3, EIS, MS Dynamics, Jostle, Collect Max, Latitude, SharePoint
· Assists administrators and management in communications, documentation and enforcement of computing and network procedures and policies
· Monitors help desk voice-mail and e-mail and responds to service issues in accordance with applicable service level agreements
· Monitors help desk on-call voice-mail via paging device on a 24hr/7day alternating schedule
· In-office schedule of weekdays (8-hours), time variable to need and agreement
· Provides assistance in other functions as instructed by the Technical Services Manager, VP Technology Services or the CTO
Qualifications
• Associate’s degree in related major, from an accredited College or University, or technical certification program strongly preferred
• A minimum of 1 year of Technical Support experience including: Ticketing, software, hardware, and network-related issues desired
• Ability to problem solve, prioritize, and think independently required
• Professional certifications (A+, MCP, MCDST…) preferred
• Excellent customer service attitude and verbal and written communication skills required
• Experience working with multi-tiered ticket handling/resolution systems required
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and provide progress updates required
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and Windows networking with proven troubleshooting skills a plus
• Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, and Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, and Exchange Administration a plus
• Knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
• Experience with Windows 7, 8, Mac OS a plus
